Story Details

 SPOILER ALERT! If you have not read the posts, do not read these until after.

 In the first post "The Beginning" Synthia and Glen are stranded in the snow-buried woods. The story is set in the future, so since Synthia was born in 2000, the year would be 2019. They are fighting for survival against the Afterlives to save themselves and each other. The story takes place in Alberta, Canada.

 In the second post "Afterlife" Synthia and Glen move out of their hiding spot to see if there are survivors in any other city. On the way Glen senses a disturbance in the area. An Afterlife finds them. Glen counts to three, signaling for Synthia to start running.

 In the third post "Escape" Glen and Synthia are running back through the woods to get away from the Afterlife. Glen finds a small ditch and decides it is the safest place to hide. In the meanwhile Synthia thinks of a way for them to travel without being caught by the Afterlives. Climbing from tree to tree by holding on to the branches and inching along one branch, then grabbing onto the next and moving towards the tree trunk.

 In the fourth post "The City" Glen and Synthia travel to the edge of the woods to a ledge. Synthia sees a city. Only a single light is on in a window. They run to the street and see that there is nobody. Glen is in shock, that is the reason that he doesn't respond. They run up the building which is thirty-six stories tall. on the fourteenth floor they see a light from a door. There are survivors.

 In the fifth post "Survivor" Synthia and Glen meet Dalton Ember. He takes them in and gives them some food and water. He lets them use the guest bedroom until they have to go. Synthia wakes up early in the morning, 4:23 a.m. to be exact. Glen wakes up, unknowingly to Synthia, he was awake the whole night.

 In the sixth post "A Day Without Purpose" Synthia wakes up to realize that she can no longer see a bright future; only death and destruction. After a sleepless night, she falls to sleep and into her personal world of nightmares.
